Privacy Policy
Effective May 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RevFactor (“RevFactor,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit revfactor.io, subscribe to The Rev Journal, book a Discovery Call, or otherwise interact with our managed revenue management service for short-term rental hosts.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide directly. Name, email address, phone number, property details, and any context you share when you book a Discovery Call, subscribe to The Rev Journal, complete a contact form, or correspond with us.
- Booking and consultation data. When you schedule a call through our Cal.com embedded booking, Cal.com processes the booking on our behalf and shares the booking record (name, email, scheduled time, your stated context) with RevFactor.
- Usage and device data. Pages visited, referring URL, browser type, device type, approximate location (derived from IP address), and interaction events. We collect this automatically using PostHog, Google Analytics 4, and Umami Analytics.
- Anti-fraud signals. We use Fraud Blocker to detect invalid clicks and bot traffic. Fraud Blocker may set cookies and collect device-fingerprint signals to distinguish humans from automated traffic.
How We Use Information
RevFactor uses collected information to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the revfactor.io website and our service.
- Respond to consultation requests and schedule discovery calls.
- Send The Rev Journal newsletter, but only to subscribers who opt in. Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Measure marketing performance, optimize advertising, and detect invalid ad traffic.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.
Legal Bases (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Consent for newsletter subscriptions and non-essential cookies.
- Legitimate interest for measuring site performance, detecting fraud, and responding to inquiries you initiated.
- Contract performance for delivering services to clients who have engaged RevFactor.
- Legal obligation when retention or disclosure is required by law.
How We Share Information
RevFactor does not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service:
- Cal.com — calendar booking provider.
- PostHog, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Umami — site analytics and conversion measurement.
- Fraud Blocker — invalid-click detection.
- Email service providers we use to send The Rev Journal (subscribers only).
- Hosting and infrastructure providers (Vercel) that serve the website.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of RevFactor or others.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
RevFactor uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure performance, and prevent invalid traffic. See our Cookies Policy for the full list and instructions on how to control them.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Newsletter records are retained until you unsubscribe. Consultation records are retained for the duration of a working engagement plus a reasonable archival period. Analytics data is retained per the default retention of the underlying providers (PostHog, GA4, Umami).
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@revfactor.io. We will respond within 30 days.
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of any sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. RevFactor does not sell personal information.
Children's Privacy
RevFactor is a B2B service for STR hosts and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International Transfers
RevFactor operates from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate.
